Always an Adventure...
...the annual high-wire act, that is, trying to figure out what various users have done to the PA system wiring
in the Fairgrounds' Main Building since last Father's Day. But Phil W3ICF (obviously not afraid of heights) and
Al KB3MKJ (providing ground support) are up to the task, and then some. |

Calm Before the Storm, I
Gene K2KJI and Randy WA2RMZ put the finishing touches on the once-a-year "Frederick Branch" of KJI Electronics just before the Main Building opened. The signs make clear what they're offering to Hamfest
shoppers, but don't let that fool you; there's also a lot of Yaesu and other name-brand stuff stacked up behind
those tables. And a good bit of it was out the door before the day was over.

Calm Before the Storm, II
Al WB4FQW and Pam K4KPA make ready for their usual crush of browsers and buyers at Cedar City Sales' display
of top brand Ham Radio antennas, tuners, station accessories, books, etc., etc., etc. |

Calm Before the Storm, III
ITEC's extensive display of electronics parts and hardware stands ready prior to Main Building opening and the
stampede of early attendees. This year ITEC had some hard-to-find heavy-duty lightning supression equipment for
sale, along with the usual assortment of unusual stuff we look forward to seeing at their tables.

The FARC club table at the front of the Main Building was a popular place
as Hamfest attendees filled out and deposited their tickets for the four Main Prizes and the many other Door Prize
drawings. |

Got Flyers?
A saavy Ham with a cool hat grabs a few flyers for upcoming Hamfests
in the Mid-Atlantic area. (Here's a secret: If the flyers were all gone when you came by, you can still check the
latest listings online at the always up-to-date Victor ARA Hamfest site.)

Wheeling and Dealing
Ernie K3VVV has a good start on the matched pair of recumbent unicycles
he's been talking about building. You never know what treasures you'll find at the Father's Day (or any other)
Hamfest, but these obviously spoke for themselves. |

Reach for the Sky
With its DC-to-daylight comms capabilities, the Red Cross mobile emergency
communications center drew a lot of interest (and some basic mast envy, too) from many Father's Day Hamfest attendees.
Many thanks to the National Capital Area Red Cross
folks for allowing the vehicle to appear at the Hamfest!
